Fish Rush
About Fish Rush
Dude, you up? It's 11 PM and I literally cannot sleep because of this game, Fish Rush. Remember how Mike told us it was gonna be like, super chill, just "meditative gameplay" and "realistic fishing" where you "sit with a fishing rod, and just relax"?
He was SO wrong. It's like describing pizza as "bread with toppings." Technically true, but completely misses the point. This game is WILD.
I started playing tonight, thinking I'd just cast a line, catch a few bass, whatever. But then I got to the second zone, "The Shifting Sands," and suddenly there's this timer ticking down and these huge, glowing "Abyssal Eels" start showing up, and your boat has a health bar?! I almost jumped out of my skin when one of them rammed my little dinghy. It's not relaxing at all, it's like, a frantic strategy game mixed with fishing.
Honestly, the graphics are nice, yeah, but the *sounds* are what got me. When you hook a big "Iron Jaw" fish, your controller vibrates like crazy and there's this *thrumming* sound from the line that makes you feel like your rod is about to snap. And then you gotta like, dodge these rock formations and other fish that try to steal your catch while you're reeling it in. I played for like, three hours straight without even realizing it. I thought it was 9, suddenly it was midnight.
I figured out that if you use the "Sparkle Bait" near the glowing kelp, you attract these super rare "Lunar Loaches" that give you tons of upgrade materials. But you gotta be fast because the "Shadow Skimmers" will swoop in and snatch 'em if your not quick enough. It's so clever how they did that. I usually hate fishing games, they're so boring, but this is different. It's like Stardew Valley had a baby with a bullet-hell game, but with fish.
I already told my cousin Sarah she needs to play it. Your gonna love it, I swear. It's fun. Really, really fun. You have to try it. Seriously. I'm still thinking about how to get past the "Leviathan's Maw" stage. I just need to upgrade my harpoon a bit more. Ugh. Anyway, text me when you wake up. You gotta get this game.
